Ms. “M,” a disabled woman who survived of lung cancer, was one of the many people who unexpectedly found herself homeless due to the March 2016 floods. Although she had homeowner’s insurance, she did not have flood insurance because her home was not in a flood zone. In fact, her home was in an area that had never flooded before. She was blindsided by this and has been working hard to get back into her home since.
Thanks to the generous volunteers who have given so much of their time and hard work, Ms. M’s home has had the drywall replaced and is ready for painting, but there is still much work and materials still needed. Will you help?
